Hopefully they start adding more to it in the near future. Go there, sign up for an account, and follow that thread for updates. Who knows?!?!? I just linked the list from doom9. Only a matter of time before these keys start becoming widely available for free.Īs far as when the list will be updated. You can choose which titles you want to rip here. Once MakeMKV is done scanning for titles, you'll see a list of them in the left-hand panel of the app. Click this to scan the titles on your disc. After a moment, a big Blu-Ray drive icon will appear. Just checked the deuhd site and it seems they've gone to a 6 month subscription at around $20/month. To rip your movie, put the disc in your Blu-Ray drive and open MakeMKV. Either way, I'm not paying $200 for something that will probably be useless within the year. My guess is it is a process very similar to ho DeUHD manages it. In other words, I have no idea how they are getting the keys. Current Beta Keys can be found on the MakeMKV Forum. If it was that easy, it'd already be implemented into makemkv and it would work just like normal bluray's and DVD's. To enter the current Beta Key or a Registered Key, one enters in a web browser which opens the Vortexbox GUI, click on System Configuration, then click on License manager, enter your KEY or the Beta KEY and click on submit. Hi again, i just tested Deadpool (US) and MakeMKV Opened the disc without deuhd running with no problem, and just tested Kingsman: The Secret Service (UK) and its now ripping, next going to test Independence Day: Resurgence (UK) to see if it works in makemkv to, the other discs i have currently dont work, do u know how to extract the aacs keys from the discs i have? what software is used? then i can hopefully rip the rest of them using makemkv, and when will the database be updated again with new aacs keys?, and can u post the updated keys below if u find they have been updated before me thanksĭanBoi2016 wrote:do u know how to extract the aacs keys from the discs i have? what software is used? then i can hopefully rip the rest of them using makemkv, and when will the database be updated again with new aacs keys?, and can u post the updated keys below if u find they have been updated before me thanks The US region releases I have that have not worked are: I have 11 movies from that list and I've only been able to rip 6 of them. It could be that you just have the poor luck of owning UHD's from a different region than the keys provided in the above list. So, I'm not going to be going about looking for how to manage this aspect of Ubuntu because a new key will be posted before I get to the point where I have this corrected and can take advantage of it.Īdditionally, I use the CLI version of the product and I don't have the opportunity to leave the date offset or it will interfere with timestamps on the files that are ripped causing further issues.Metallikahn wrote:In addition, do you have the correct disc player? Did you just save the key's above as 'KeyDB.cfg' (which wouldn't work) or did you actually download the keyDB.cfg file I linked to and add the keys to the end of the list in that file? Did you save the cfg file to the correct directory (listed under MakeMKV preferences - general tab)? Is it the most current version of MakeMKV? I don't like Ubuntu, but that's what I have to work with because it's a complex build that I haven't opted to tear down and build on openSUSE instead. If you read my post again, you'll see that the issue not with my being able to CHANGE the date, it's that the system sets it back right away. Mine is named keys.txt and I made it with notepad. In that newly established data directory folder, create a (plain) text file and paste those codes and all their info into the text file. I'm sure it's using an NTP daemon, but I'm not interested in learning yet another nuance of Ubuntu since it isn't my primary distro (I used it soleley to rip my movies). To manually add hashed keys keys to makemkv, you open Makemkv, go to view->preferences, then, ->general and establish a folder for the 'makemkv data directory'. The chapter goes on to mention St Paul taking the Shroud to Rome (see 2 Timothy 2:14), more or less simultaneously St Thaddeus taking it to Edessa (the legend of Abgar), where, following Ian Wilson, it became the Mandylion, in spite of almost every pilgrim to Constantinople distinguishing clearly between the Image of Edessa and the burial cloths of Jesus. We even “know that around 1150, the emperor in Constantinople had shown the Shroud to a group of Hungarian dignitaries, one of whom made a sketch of it.” This is such sheer fantasy that we are tempted to abandon this review right here: there is nothing ‘scientific’ about this ‘Catholic scientist’ at all. A letter allegedly from Theodore Comnenus Ducas (of Constantinople) to Pope Innocent III requesting the return of the Shroud, which Verschuuren quotes verbatim, is a transparent forgery, and has been recognised as such for a hundred years. It is not long before ostensibly open queries are answered definitively by “we know that the Shroud was in Constantinople in 1204,” which we certainly don’t, and “what we do know is that the Shroud stayed in Athens until 1225,” which is nonsense, and the merest, wholly unfounded, speculation. It is significant because it shows that Verschuuren is happier to rely more on what he had read than what he can see for himself, which cannot inspire confidence in his scientific impartiality. Although the sketchiest examination shows that this is incorrect, and a detailed analysis of the folding has been published at, it has been repeated in dozens of publications from the 1970s until today. A common, wrong but significant claim is that the Shroud was folded in 48 layers during the 1532 fire. A chapter on ‘Historical Analysis’ consists largely of questions, with little serious attempt to supply answers. “What We Know About Roman Execution” is largely based on the marks on the Shroud, from the guards who stood on each side applying strokes alternately, to the helmet of thorns and the nails through the wrists. However, since the turn of the century he has concentrated on books linking Science with his Catholic faith, and, with the clouding of vision so common to the genre, his latest book is less than objective, and in spite of a preface declaring that he “will weigh the claims that science makes for and against the authenticity of the Shroud,” this book is unequivocally one-sided.īy beginning with Biblical history, it is difficult not to make the unspoken assumption that the Shroud is genuine. Gerard Verschuuren is a card-carrying biologist specialising in genetics, and must have a fine, practical working knowledge of scientific method. To make sure your perfect base stays put, we would recommend using a powder on top of the base. However, if you wanted to use foundation, we would recommend doing this after concealing. The Concealer part of the palette can be used all over the base, which is often used as an alternative to foundation. You want your beard shadow area to blend perfectly with the rest of your face. Next to the power input is an IR receiver, optical digital audio output, and a LAN port. While using an external power supply does reduce the size of the chassis, the power supply is rather bulky so I would have preferred if it had been built in. To reduce the HU70LA overall size and weight to its absolute minimum, the projector utilizes an external power supply. Starting from the top section on the left is a DC input port where you plug in the unit’s external power supply. I may end up having to start widening my search to include some lamp based units to find something that works. The inputs and connections are all located on the rear of the HU70LA. however I have a limited time in my return window, so the bugs need to be addressed quickly (Doubtful). When the projector is shut off, or switched to another source, the cable box looses connection and power needs to be unplugged from the cable box before it will reconnect and show video on the projector. There seems to be a compatibility issue with the HDMI handshaking with the projector and my wireless cable box. have not heard back from them as to a fix. Great image quality along with colour reproduction. Brighter than I expected.to my eyes, it is just as bright displaying on my screen as the other 2 projectors, no doubt part of this due to it being a shorter throw so it's physically closer to the screen and not having to throw light as far. Audio is fantastic, sounds just as good as a full sized soundbar. There are lot of things it does well - Great looking package. I honestly want to like this projector, but right now I'm on the fence. Projector #3 - Viewsonic x10-4ke - 2500 LED Lumens (About 1000 ANSI Lumens). In it's cinema/movie mode it looked no brighter on my screen than the epson.Very evident rainbow effect being dlp. Lacked any sort of depth, sounded like something out of a cheap toy.4000 lumens sounds like a lot, but that was in it's brightest mode which also made everything look green, so not suitable for watching video. Most disappointed with this unit overall. Projector # 2 - Optoma HZ39HDR - 4000 Lumen Laser. it's hard not to see the screen door/jaggies once you experience the higher resolutions. the image quality was liveable until I tested out the other 2 higher resolution projects. If epson came out with a 1080p or 4K version I would take it in a heart beat. quite honestly the only drawback was that it was it's 1280x800 resolution and it's poor black levels. it definitely had a little depth to it and loud enough to use when outdoors. Bright as heck, great size, has Android TV built in so it was very easy to get any streaming app I wanted on it. quite honestly this was a fantastic projector. do not want to deal with the maintenance/care of a lamp based projector Don't want to have to connect it to an external sound system to get sound suitable for tv watching.Ĥ - no lamps. ġ - Going to be installed most of the time ceiling mounted in the basement to project on a 106" screen but needs to be portable and convenient enough for outdoor movie nightsĢ - Needs to be bright enough for viewing in the basement with some lights on as well as outdoor movie viewing before the sun completely setsģ - has decent sounds from speakers. God Mode Undead Slayer Extreme MOD APK Download On a side note, I had my own deceptions when it was decided to end it after season 3, but it is what it is and you cannot always have it your way. Recommended to all fans of spy series wherever they live. They are what they make you feel in each season and the feel of it was appreciative and satisfying. Each season has its own interesting twists and turns that always keep your attention, believe me. IMO, she acted decent enough, was one of the characters of the series (please pay attention, one of the characters!, she was not a planet having others satellite her), her voice was her voice, nothing specially bad and was okay. Some are critical of Ashley Judd not being able to act or having whatever voice she has. Of course, the above couldn't be done if a series is bad in its layers, which is not the case of Berlin Station and never was.īelieve me, I'm very critical myself and if something is dashingly wrong, I would surely indicate and write about it. What you need to do is to immerse yourself in it and let each season's story drag you into its confines. I say so because IMO, Berlin Station was a very good and interesting series, in all its 3 seasons, with good writing, beautiful soundtrack & cinematography, nice plots and professional acting. Sometimes, I'm at loss as why some reviewers have such abnormal and illogical expectations from a series and decide to belittle and trash it at all cost, not feeling or not wanting to feel its vibe nor sense it. If you like a complex plot executed well by talented actors, then you will enjoy this show. There are more bad-guys than good guys in this one. Superficially anti-CIA, I think the story is more about moral relativism, and the evil that men do. There is no James Bond or Jason Bourne here, just people doing routine spy work and trying to cope with moral ramifications and amoral counterparts. The main spy story weaves its way through enough twists and turns to keep one interested, like a Le Carre spy novel, the angst and motivations of the main characters, and their regrets at past mistakes gives them the beat-down feeling of Smiley. Some of that is too 1,2,3 check off the box plot devices that just aren't adding anything to the story. Oh.she's in an interracial relationship, and he's having an affair with his secretary, and he's disgruntled and uses hookers because his kid back in the USA is disgruntled.etc. The weakest part of the show may be the somewhat contrived and clichéd nature of one or two of the backstories that are supposed to add depth to the characters. Even Homeland, which is similar in setting, seems very American, where this show just looks and feels different. The European setting gives the show a different feel from most American TV fare, and that in itself is very effective in making the show unique. There are a number of good performances in this show. The story has requisite twists and turns, a complex plot centered around the War on Terror and a Julian Assange style leaker who wrecks havoc with the American spy agency and it's relationship with it's counterparts from other countries. Berlin Station is a very John Le Carre type of spy story, but centered around the American CIA rather than the Brits. You will need to contact your nearest centre to find out what they have and to book an appointment.īe cautious of sales people who try to persuade you to buy equipment that may not meet your needs fully or is over-priced. However, not all centres display telecare systems. You will receive impartial advice to help choose appropriately. You may have an equipment demonstration centre near you where you can visit to view and try out ranges of equipment. If you decide to buy equipment privately it is best to try and compare the different ranges first. Your choice may offer extra features, or perhaps you prefer its appearance. You can pay extra for an alternative item, so long as it does what the specific item prescribed would do. If you receive a prescription for one of these items you can take it to a local accredited retailer, which may be a local pharmacy, who will provide you with the item. These may include a small range of telecare equipment. In many areas a range of the simple aids to daily living may be available on prescription, issued by the assessor. If your local authority assess you as requiring a service they will also complete a financial assessment to assess the level of any contribution you may be required to make. You will need to contact your local authority and ask for information on their equipment and telecare services. This uses mobile phones to access telecare and telehealth. You may also see the term mCare or mHealth which stands for mobile care/health. Local authorities may meet the cost if you would find this difficult Sometimes it is free, sometimes there is an initial cost and/or a weekly charge. Local authorities usually partner with a specialist telecare company to provide a service in their area. They are connected to a central monitoring centre, or a trusted individual, who can respond when needed. This might be a fall alarm, a sensor that monitors the home environment, such as a gas detector, or a personal locator for those for whom disorientation is a problem. Telecare uses technology in the home to monitor and support individuals remotely. The assessor should also be able to provide you with relevant information and advice, or direct you to suitable organisations/services in your area. This will indicate to them the most appropriate equipment to meet your needs. They may ask you to try an activity to see how and why you are finding it difficult. For more complex equipment an assessor will need to visit your home. For simple bits of equipment you may be interviewed over the telephone. Equipment is generally issued based on an assessment of your need. Keep doing this for at least 5 minutes. Most local authorities have a community equipment service which is used by both health and social services. Then let it flow out gently, counting from 1 to 5 again, if you find this helpful. Some people find it helpful to count steadily from 1 to 5. Try breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.Let your breath flow as deep down into your belly as is comfortable, without forcing it.Whatever position you're in, place your feet roughly hip-width apart. If you're sitting or standing, place both feet flat on the ground. If you're sitting, place your arms on the chair arms. Let your legs be straight, or bend your knees so your feet are flat on the floor. If you're lying down, place your arms a little bit away from your sides, with the palms up. If you can, loosen any clothes that restrict your breathing. You can do it standing up, sitting in a chair that supports your back, or lying on a bed or yoga mat on the floor. You will get the most benefit if you do it regularly, as part of your daily routine. This calming breathing technique for stress, anxiety and panic takes just a few minutes and can be done anywhere. Not long ago I was both horrified and fascinated by a screenshot a prominent tech CEO shared on Twitter, in which he inadvertently showed that he had well over a hundred unread text messages in his Messages queue. This is a fair point, and it’s also worth acknowledging that some people (not me) are just better at managing their messages than others. Instead, as Santamaria points out to me with a chuckle, we see that as a signal that it’s OK to send a message because the person won’t be disturbed. We are all walking live chats.ĭoes anyone pay any mind to the fact that a person appears to have their notifications silenced when we initiate a text message to them? I think not. The dreaded ellipsis-the dot dot dot as someone types a response-has made us captive audiences. Provided we’re in range of cell service or Wi-Fi, we can be reached at literally any time. That clear plastic corded phone that dialed up and signed me on has morphed into the world’s most powerful pocket computer that also happens to make phone calls. Interruption is the default.Ĭontinuing to make the distinction, though, between synchronous and asynchronous messaging only damages my own argument, which is that asynchronous messaging is real-time chat now. “You were going to tell me if you could talk before we started the conversation.” There’s a version of this today-someone might preface their message with “Not urgent, respond when you can,” for example-but for the most part, we just send the text message without consideration, Santamaria says. With that evolution, our social contracts have changed.Ĭatapulting even further back into the past for a moment: Old-fashioned phone calls used to, and sometimes still do, start with “Hey, you free?” Santamaria points out. We’re all glued to Messages, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, and Signal on our phones, and in many instances we receive the same messages at the same time on our laptops. Now, “asynchronous” messaging has become the dominant form of text-based remote communications, Santamaria says. “If I want to tell you something I send it, you receive it, and then you respond on your time.” Back when he was working on iChat, a Mac client that supported live AIM chats and was the precursor to iMessage, the mentality was that “SMS was very much about asynchronous communication, a kind of ‘fire and forget’ model,” he says. Think of it as synchronous messaging versus asynchronous messaging, says Justin Santamaria, a former lead Apple engineer who helped launch Apple iMessage (now Messages). Technology aside, the social interactions around these messaging forms were distinctive. A digital door creaked open, and millions of us scrambled to our seats to see who had just signed on, who was down to chat. It propelled me into a universe of limitless pixels, endless distractions, and a penchant for bland screen names (my only embellishment was my basketball jersey number, tacked onto my initials). Very online, and unaware at the time that the portal would disappear behind you once you crossed through, that you would never again live a wholly offline life.ĪIM, which launched 25 years ago this month, represented that moment for me. Your parents got the compact disc in the mail, you plugged your clear plastic corded phone into a modem connected to your Gateway 2000, and you were off. You didn’t need to be a computer nerd to ride the AIM train. But AIM was the beginning of something, a gateway to real-time, all-the-time internet communication for the normies. Talkomatic, Compuserve’s CB Simulator, and Internet Relay Chat (IRC) all preceded it. In the beginning, there was AOL Instant Messenger. |
